Commission for Adnah B. Child as quartermaster in 2nd Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Division signed by Governor Cornelius P. Van Ness and Secretary D. Kellogg, 5 August 1824. Verso has oaths signed by Adnah B. Childs attested by Phineheus M. Cole Wilmington Aug 5th 1824. Second and third document are commissions for Adnah B Child as major of the 2nd Regiment, 1st Brigade, 1st Division signed by Governor Ezra Butler and Secretary D. Kellogg. Verso of second and third commissions have oaths signed by Adnah B. Childs attested by John Pulsipher Cole Wilmington Dec 28th 1826. Verso of third commission also has a note dated Headquarters Craftsbury May 6th 1829 by Samuel C. Crafts discharging Childs from further military duty.
